Haughty Eyes


Psalms 18:27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks [RSV: haughty eyes] [NIV: those whose eyes are haughty].

Psalms 101:5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look [RSV: haughty looks; NIV: haughty eyes] and a proud heart will not I suffer.

Psalms 131:1 LORD, my heart is not haughty [NIV: proud], nor mine eyes lofty [NIV: haughty] [RSV: my eyes are not raised too high]: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
